Advocate Sandeep Bura, president of the association, said a tentative date of January 10, 2026 has been received from the CJI’s office.
He said, during the visit, Justice kant will lay the foundation stone of several key projects at the Hisar Bar, including a multi-level parking facility for around 500 vehicles, a new chamber block, and an expansion of the Bar room.
Bura said the CJI accepted the association’s invitation during a special dinner with its delegation following his oath-taking ceremony. The official programme will be announced soon, and a formal proposal will be sent to the CJI by the association.
Notably, the third chamber block is being constructed to provide more space to lawyers, while the Bar room expansion will help accommodate the large number of members who currently have to stand during general assemblies. The multi-level parking facility is aimed at resolving the ongoing problem of insufficient vehicle space for lawyers.
Justice Surya Kant is also expected to address the lawyers of Hisar Bar during the visit. The event is seen as an opportunity for members, both senior and junior, to interact with one of their distinguished colleagues who has risen to the highest judicial position in the country, Bura added.
