The Deputy Commissioner has directed tehsildars in all tehsil offices of Hisar, Hansi, Barwala, Adampur, Narnaund, Baas and sub tehsils of Balsamand, Uklana and Kheri Jalab in Hisar district to submit report about the losses to the rabi crop due to rain and hailstorm.

Deputy Commissioner Uttam Singh directed all revenue officials to ensure the submission of the report at the earliest so that the report could be sent to the state government.

The DC said the government would soon open the e-kshatipurti portal for the farmers. The affected farmers should upload the report about the crop damage on this portal so that they could get compensation for the loss of crops affected due to heavy rain and hailstorm.

He said to provide information on the e-kshatipurti portal, registration of crop was mandatory on Meri Fasal-Mera Byora portal.

Meanwhile, initial reports have indicated that the mustard crop had suffered over 50 per cent damage on an average in the region whereas the wheat crop, too, had suffered significant damage and it could result in lower yield per acre.
