The government has placed Dr Prabhu Dayal, Deputy Civil Surgeon-cum-Nodal Officer (PNDT), Hisar, under suspension with immediate effect.

The suspension comes in the wake of a sting operation by a private news channel that exposed alleged involvement of Civil Hospital staff (Hisar) in female foeticide.

According to the order issued by Sudhir Rajpal, Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Haryana (Health Department), Dr Dayal would be stationed at the Office of the Civil Surgeon, Bhiwani, during the suspension period, and receive subsistence allowance as per Rule 83 of the Haryana Civil Services (General) Rules, 2016.
