The girl's grandmother has made shocking revelations through a video on social media, claiming that her father, Sunil, and her stepmother used to mistreat the girl, often beating her up and denying her food.

There was an incident at school where she was found injured, and the principal confirmed that she was a victim of domestic abuse. The family reportedly pulled her out of school and forced her to work. The grandmother claimed that whenever she defended the girl, she was thrown out of the house.

The search for the girl has extended to Chandigarh, with her parents and two brothers marching on foot. The grandmother accused Sunil of doing it for financial gains.

The police have, meanwhile, intensified their search by distributing posters in several areas of the city and checking CCTV footage.
