Hisar: Yogita Singh, a primary teacher at OP Jindal Modern School, Hisar, and Anil Kumar, a faculty member of the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) in Mattarshyam village of Hisar, were declared the best in the ‘mathematical comics’ and ‘mathematical task’ categories, respectively, in the state-level teachers’ contest organised by the Mathematics Education Department of the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Gurugram.

Campaign on ‘Importance of vote’

Panipat: A two-day programme on the ‘Importance of vote’ was organised at SD Vidya Mandir School in Sector 11/12. Students organised a voting awareness campaign and participated in essay- and slogan-writing competitions. Addressing the students, Anu Gupta said one should make proper use of their voting rights and choose competent and educated persons as representatives so as to build a strong nation.

MDU Students seek health centre

Rohtak: Students staged a protest on the campus of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) on Thursday, demanding a health centre be opened round the clock for all seven days in a week. They also demanded an ambulance facility at the hostel complex. Student leader Arjun Singh said they submitted a memorandum to the university dean, who assured them that their demands would be duly considered.
