Hisar university team bags third position at national quiz meet

The team of the Haryana School of Business of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST), Hisar, won the third position at the National Financial Literacy Quiz-Competition 2024 organised by Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) held on June 29-30 at the NISM Campus, Mumbai.

Vice-Chancellor Narsi Ram Bishnoi said it was a proud moment for the university. He said, “It reflects the hardwork, dedication and knowledge of our students.” He said that the achievement was not just a personal triumph for the team but a proud moment for our entire institution. It highlighted the quality of education and the commitment of the faculty to excellence.

The VC said MBA students Amit and Aditya Aggarwal, along with Professor Vijender Pal Saini, lead the team in the competition. In the first round, 50 teams were selected from out of 3,70,000 students pan India. In the second round called the ‘Regional Round’, The 50 teams were invited for computer based tests comprising 50 questions which had to be completed within 45 minutes. Twelve institutions were shortlisted for the semifinals, while six made it to the finals.

Registrar Vinod Chhokar congratulated the students and said the success of these HSB students showcased their special skills and proficiency.
