Hisar woman gangraped, murdered

A 20-year-old woman who went missing from her home two days ago was reportedly murdered after being gangraped by two accused in Hisar town. The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita on the charges of gangrape and murder and started the investigation today

The police recovered a body from the minor canal near Chandan Nagar yesterday. The complainant, who is the brother of the victim, alleged that a woman had called his sister to accompany her two days ago. He alleged that a youth reportedly used to chase his sister and suspected the role of the youth in the murder and the gangrape. The victim had a private job. The complainant alleged that the accused had killed his sister after rape by the main accused and another youth. The allegedly dumped her body in the minor canal.

The victim’s family has refused to take the body for cremation after the postmortem examination and demanded the arrest of the accused in the case.
