As anticipated, former Union minister and Haryana Jan Chetna Party chief Venod Sharma has extended support to the BJP for the Assembly elections.

Talking to mediapersons, Sharma said, “The 11-member committee of the Haryana Jan Chetna Party has decided to support the BJP candidates. The party workers will campaign for the BJP candidates, and they will oppose the Congress candidates. Because of the opposition from the Congressmen, the project of setting up an Industrial Model Township in Ambala was shelved, and the youngsters of Ambala are paying the price of wrong decisions of the Congress.”

“The BJP had promised to establish the IMT and there were reports that the government is trying to get the land for the same, but the project is yet to come on the ground. The IMT is a major reason behind our support to the BJP and we will continue to struggle for this project in Ambala,” he said.

During the Lok Sabha elections and the previous Assembly elections, Venod Sharma had also extended support to the BJP.
