Employees working under Haryana Skill Employment Corporation (HKRN) at Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU) held a special meeting on Monday to discuss their job security issues. After detailed discussions, a new executive committee was formed. Ranbir Bangadwa was unanimously elected as the president and a 10-member committee was selected to negotiate with the university administration and government officials. There are more than 500 HKRN employees working at CDLU.

Bangadwa said during the recent state monsoon session, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini had replied to an MLA’s question by stating that employees working under the HKRN at universities would not be given job security. This announcement has caused unrest among university employees.

Bangadwa said many of these employees originally worked on DC rates and have been serving the university since 2003, contributing to its development for over 20 years. He stressed that the government should consider the future of these long-serving employees and their families by granting them job security, which they deserve.
