In view of the byelections on October 3 for the seat of Ward 34 of the Municipal Corporation, Gurugram and Ward 7 of the Municipal Corporation, Karnal, Haryana has declared holiday on October 3 for all shops and commercial establishments falling under the jurisdiction of aforesaid wards so that the voters can cast their vote. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
