Hotel operator challaned for throwing garbage in open in Yamunanagar

After closing garbage points, posters, pots and benches were being installed there.

A team of the Municipal Corporation, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri, challaned the operator of a hotel located on Railway Road in Yamunanagar for spreading garbage in the open.

The team of the MCYJ has collected the challan amount from the operator of the hotel.

According to information, on the instructions of Municipal Commissioner Ayush Sinha, a team of Chief Sanitary Inspector (CSI) Sunil Dutt, Sanitary Inspector Sushil Kumar, Shashi and Dharamveer went out to inspect Railway Road for the swachh survey.

During the inspection, the team of the MCYJ found garbage strewn outside a hotel.

After investigation, it was found that the garbage was spread by staff members of the hotel.

The team members of the MCYJ talked to the hotel operator about this, but he could not give any satisfactory answer, therefore, CSI Sunil Dutt challaned the hotel on the spot.

“Regarding the swachh survey, the MCYJ is making people aware about making the twin cities of Yamunanagar and Jagadhri clean, beautiful and hygienic. At the same time, strict action is being taken against those who throw garbage in the open,” said Chief Sanitary Inspector Sunil Dutt.

He said in future too, action would continue against those who throw garbage in the open.

Dr Vijay Pal Yadav, Additional Municipal Commissioner said the MCYJ had started eliminating illegal garbage points from the twin cities and after closing the garbage points; posters, pots and benches were being installed there.

He said the MCYJ gave the message of cleanliness through painting on the boundary walls and public places of government buildings, bus stands, parks and schools to make people aware of cleanliness.

He said to eliminate illegal garbage points, the Municipal Corporation team had inspected Ward number 13, 14, 17, 20, 21 and 22.He said the team cleaned the garbage points where the waste was found. He appealed to the residents of the twin cities to cooperate with the employees to bring the MCYJ to the top position in the swachh survey.

According to information, the Swachh Bharat Mission Urban’s brand Ambassador, Shashi Gupta, Sanitation Inspector Bittu and other officials were inspecting the garbage point.
