Chandigarh, November 22

In a statement issued today, HPCC president Kumari Selja hit at the BJP-JJP government and said in the past seven years, there had been a number of recruitment scams. She said the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) and Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) had become the centre of recruitment scams.

Due to these scams, recruitment has to be cancelled time and again. Corruption is prevalent at every level in the BJP-JJP government. Government jobs are being sold.

She said it had become quite clear that both these commissions were incapable of conducting fair recruitment, with those on high positions directly involved in the scams.

“Due to these scams under the patronage of the BJP-JJP government, recruitment has to be cancelled time and again and the future of the youth is being played with. The revelations happening in the government recruitment everyday show that corruption is prevalent at every level in this government. When the government hides one scam, another comes to the fore. Transparency has been sidelined and government jobs are being sold,” she said.

“During the tenure of Khattar government, around three dozen papers have been leaked in seven years. The past and present chairmen of the HSSC have been involved in controversies over recruitment scams. Despite this, no action against them by the Chief Minister is proof that the recruitment scams happening in Haryana have the protection of the government,” she added. She demanded that the HPSC and HSSC should be dissolved and new commissions should be formed and all disputed recruitment exams should be conducted again.

She said the silence of the government despite the arrest of HPSC Deputy Secretary and others by the Vigilance Bureau was proof that people close to the government were involved in auctioning jobs in Haryana.

She urged the CM to issue a white paper on the recruitments made in the past seven years and inform people of the state about how many recruitments had been challenged in the court during his tenure.
