The Chief Commissioner of the Haryana Right to Service Commission (HRSC), TC Gupta, has fined the Chief Controller of Finance of the HSVP, BB Gupta, of Rs 10,000 in a case of extension fee of a 100 sq mt plot.

The applicant, Parma Nand Goyal, had applied for a four-marla plot in 1997, which was alloteed to him in 1998.

The construction on the plot was to be carried out in two years, the duration of which could be extended by paying an extension fee.

The Commission pointed out that there was no distinction in the extension fee of the plot, up to 100 sq mt, on the grounds of either General or EWS category as per the 2013 policy, while the HSVP brought the difference in the rate to create confusion.

It was reported that the misinterpretation had affected 20,629 allottees.

Gupta agreed to the mistake during the hearing of the case, but later backed out, the Commission observed.

“He was accused of violating the instructions of the authority of 2013 and 2019 and was fined,” the Commission added. Ajit Balaji Joshi, Chief Administrator, HSVP, has been directed to correct the anomaly.
