Ahead of the International Gita Mahotsav, the Kurukshetra Development Board (KDB) and the district administration have resumed the special bus service for tourists and devotees, which will cover ‘tirthas’ and ancient sites of the district and Pehowa in a day.

The buses will cover 14 ancient sites in the district associated with the Mahabharata age in nearly nine hours. The ticket charge per person is Rs 50. The tour starts from Brahma Sarovar and culminates at Brahma Sarovar. The special bus service was started by CM Manohar Lal Khattar in 2017, but was stopped in a year. It was later resumed again but had to be stopped again due to Covid. The tourists will visit Rantuk Yakhsa at Bir Pipli, Abhimanyu Chakravyuh Sthali in Amin, Banganga Tirtha, Kultaran Tirtha, Saraswati Tirtha, Jyotisar Tirtha, Bhishma Kund, Bhurishrva Tirtha Bhor Saidan, Bhadrakali Shaktipeeth, Sannihit Sarovar, and Brahma Sarovar. — TNS
