A 23-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her in-laws and hung for not getting enough dowry. Her body was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her in-laws’ home in Gandhi Nagar Colony. An FIR was registered and the police arrested her husband, who was identified as Saurabh.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
