The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested two persons, including an assistant taxation officer (ATO) of the Income Tax (I-T) Department, for seeking a bribe of Rs 3 lakh from a resident of Palwal district.

The ACB team caught Adesh red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 3 lakh on behalf of the ATO Akash Kumar, from Ashok Kumar on Monday evening. The ATO had allegedly demanded Rs 7 lakh for not taking action against him over alleged discrepancies in filing the income tax return for the past year.
