The 27th Blood Donation Camp at Indira Gandhi National College (IGN), Ladwa, was held today to commemorate the 36th death anniversary of the college’s founder, Om Prakash Garg.

A total of 43 persons voluntarily donated blood during the camp, which aimed to promote the spirit of selfless service and community health. The initiative was supported by a medical team from Lok Nayak Jai Prakash District Civil Hospital, Kurukshetra, who ensured safe and hygienic procedures during the collection process.

Kurushetra Superintendent of Police (SP) Varun Singla, highlighted the humanitarian value of such initiatives. He said, “A blood donor is a true hero. Donating blood is not just an act of kindness—it is a direct contribution to humanity. Through this act, you give someone a second chance at life. It’s a small but incredibly significant effort that helps in meeting the urgent needs of society.”

Pawan Garg, president of the college, and college Principal Dr Kushal Pal also addressed the gathering, encouraging students and staff to continue engaging in such noble causes and upholding the founder’s vision of service to society.
