A joint team comprising Dr Sumit Kaushik, nodal officer, PCPNDT, Sonepat, and Dr Jitender Sharma arranged for a decoy patient, who reached SL Hospital and met an employee, Rajeev, there. He asked her to wait and after some time, Dr Rohit Dhariwal reportedly arrived and agreed to perform the MTP for Rs 8,000. The decoy gave him 16 notes of Rs 500 denomination.

The decoy patient was admitted without any documentation and her blood sample was taken. The raiding team entered the hospital and nabbed Harish of Alwar in Rajasthan and Rajeev of Santosh Colony at Dharuhera, but Dr Dhariwal managed to run away by scaling the wall of the hospital, along with the decoy’s money.
