According to an official of the CM flying squad, the squad got information that a clinic, Shifa Clinic, was being run illegally in Hari Nagar colony. Acting on the information, the team, and Medical Officer Dr Rajesh Jindal, raided the clinic.

During the raid, the team questioned ‘Dr’ Mohammad Danish, alias MD Khan. The fake doctor could not produce his degree, or the permissions required to run the clinic.

The clinic had not been registered with the authorities concerned.

“Patients were being treated with allopathic medicines, for which the clinic had no permission. The clinic did not follow biomedical waste disposal rules. The suspect, Mohammed Danish, alias MD Khan, was playing with people’s lives by running a clinic without a valid degree,” Dr Jindal said in his complaint.

A senior police officer said an FIR had been registered against the clinic operator.
