Illegal colony razed in Yamunanagar village
A team from the Town and Country Planning Department, Yamunanagar, conducted a demolition drive in an unauthorised colony in Hundewala village, located in Jagadhri tehsil.
According to Rajesh Kumar, District Town Planner, Yamunanagar, the team demolished several damp-proof courses (DPCs) and boundary walls in the illegal colony, which spanned approximately eight acres.
The District Town Planner stated that the demolition drive was carried out following orders from DC Parth Gupta. The operation was executed with support from the department’s staff, the naib-tehsildar of Jagadhri, local police and the Haryana State Enforcement Bureau.
He said notices were issued to the defaulters. However, the landowners and developers failed to comply with the orders and did not obtain the necessary permissions before setting up the illegal colony.
