Implement UP-like industrial policy in Haryana: Industrialists to BJP gen secy

Industrialists under the banner of Haryana Chamber of Commerce and Industries (HCCI), Panipat chapter, held a meeting with BJP’s state general secretary Dr Archana Gupta on Friday. They demanded the implementation of an industrial policy in Haryana on the lines of Uttar Pradesh for the development of industries.

The Haryana Government is making efforts by visiting major industrial areas and holding meetings with industrialists to find solutions to their issues and to improve the industrial ecosystem. As part of this effort, Gupta held a meeting with the members of HCCI and several other prominent industrialists. She heard their grievances and also assured them of solutions.

After the meeting, Vinod Dhamija, Chairman, HCCI Panipat chapter, said that the main issues discussed were end of labour inspector rule, regularisation of illegal colonies, issuing NOCs for installing water-harvesting plants and reducing fixed electricity rates. The major demand was to implement an Uttar Pradesh-like industrial policy in Haryana.

Dr Archana Gupta said that efforts would be made to address the problems faced by industrial units in Panipat and to find solutions to their issues by raising those before the Centre and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini for timely resolution.

Lalit Goyal, chairperson, Handloom Export Promotion Council (HEPC), and president, Panipat Exporters’ Association; Ashok Gupta, Vibhu Paliwal, Surender Mittal, Naveen Kansal, Harish Grover, Atul Mittal, Sunil Paruthi, Rajesh Nanda, Rajiv Aggarwal, Vinod Khandelwal, Rajendra Khurana, Rijat Grover, Ram Pratap Gupta, Veer Bhan Singla and Ved Parashar were also present on the occasion.
