In Brief: Man booked for fraud with bank

Yamunanagar: A man allegedly committed fraud with a private bank by procuring a personal loan of Rs 9 lakh on the basis of fake salary slip/document. On the complaint of the authorities of the bank branch situated in Yamunanagar, a case was registered against Anmol Sharma at the city police station on Wednesday. The complainant told the police that Anmol Sharma of Vishal Nagar had submitted an application for personal loan, along with several documents. “Relying on the documents provided by Anmol, a personal loan for Rs 9 lakh was sanctioned and disbursed to him on January 5, 2023,” the complainant told the police. He said Anmol failed to pay the equated monthly installments (EMIs) of the loan. It was also found that the salary slip was fabricated.
