He further said as part of the “Sewa Pakhwada” being observed across Haryana to mark the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, several initiatives such as cleanliness drives, blood donation camps, tree plantation, and road strengthening works were being carried out.

From September 25, the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana will also be launched, under which women from families with an annual income below Rs 1 lakh will receive a monthly financial assistance of Rs 2,100. Kashyap also said the Central Government’s decision to reduce GST slabs to two has already started benefitting people across the country.

Gupta, in her address, said strong roads and streets were vital for local development and would significantly improve the quality of life for the residents. She stressed the importance of transparency, pointing out that every project site displayed a board with detailed information about the work. She appealed to the residents to monitor the work closely and report any shortcomings to engineers or councillors so that corrections could be made promptly.
