Targeting some of her party leaders without naming anyone, Tosham MLA and senior Congress leader Kiran Choudhry has advised them to take everyone together to bring the party to power after the Assembly elections scheduled in 2024.

She was addressing a news conference at the residence of former minister and senior Congress leader Krishanmurti Hooda here today.

“The party can be strengthened only if all strong leaders come together and it is the responsibility of the persons occupying party posts to take all leaders along, but if the game of ‘noora-kushti’ continues, it will hurt the party’s prospects, especially those leaders who claim to be leading the state, on the Congress coming to power in the state,” she said.

On being asked about the talks of her joining the BJP doing rounds, Kiran taunted the reporter, saying “some of my ‘well-wishers’ are trying to oust me from the Congress, but my roots are very strong in the party and the party leadership, too, has faith in me, hence my ‘well-wishers’ will never succeed in their design and it will be better they abandon these efforts”.

“In reply to another question, the Tosham MLA said, “The Chief Minister is decided by the party high command and she will respect its decision being a dedicated soldier of the party…”
