In a major setback for the INLD, a party leader and Zila Parishad member, Deep Balu, along with his supporters, joined the Congress. Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Surjewala welcomed him and his supporters at Kisan Bhawan in Kaithal on Friday.

In a press conference, Surjewala accused the BJP of making Haryana number one in unemployment over the past 10 years.

Surjewala described unemployment as the major election issue as it forced youth to sell their land and migrate abroad.

He alleged that the BJP government had brought Kaithal to the brink of ruin during its decade-long rule. He compared the present government with the previous Congress government and said that no new development had taken place since the Congress rule ended. Surjewala assured that once the Congress comes to power, all projects would be completed.
