Addressing mediapersons at his Dabwali Road residence on Monday, Chautala criticised other political parties for making hollow promises to farmers before elections and abandoning them afterward.
He said the INLD remained committed to addressing farmers' demands and would extend full support to protesting farmers in Punjab if requested. "the INLD has always been sensitive to farmers' issues and will provide all possible help whenever needed," he said.
Chautala accused the BJP government of using oppressive measures to curb peaceful farmer protests, including barricades, spikes and other restrictions to prevent them from reaching Delhi. He alleged that this exposed the BJP’s false claims of being farmer-friendly.
Taking aim at the Congress, Chautala criticised former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda for indirectly aiding the BJP during the elections. He accused Hooda of deliberately denying tickets to strong Congress candidates, helping the BJP regain power. Chautala also alleged that Hooda’s actions were motivated by fear of accountability for corruption during his tenure if the INLD came to power.
He further condemned the BJP for fueling communal divisions and undermining the contributions of minorities in India’s progress. According to him, the BJP is erasing the historical role of scientists, doctors, and engineers from minority communities in India's development.
On the issue of Haryana’s new Assembly building, Chautala said the BJP was misleading the public. "Despite tall claims, no land has been allocated for the project yet," he claimed.
INLD leaders, including MLA Arjun Singh Chautala, Kashmir Singh Kariwala, and other party officials, were present during the interaction with media.
