INLD will challenge info panel appointments in High Court, says Abhay

INLD national president Abhay Singh Chautala has announced that his party will approach the Punjab and Haryana High Court over what he called “illegal appointments” made by the BJP to the State Information Commission.

Speaking to the media, Chautala said Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda acted like BJP’s “B-team” and signed the appointment orders without even reading them.

Chautala said the INLD was focusing on strengthening its organisation across Haryana. Party leaders were holding meetings with workers in various districts. The party plans to appoint booth-level officials first and then launch a membership drive.

As part of its strategy, the INLD will form zones of five villages and each zone will have 15 members who will promote the party’s welfare policies at the grassroots level. He said a strong organisation would naturally lead to more members.

Commenting on the Bhakra water issue, Chautala said INLD protested across the state and submitted a memorandum to the Governor. As a result, Punjab was forced to release 9,000 cusecs of water to Haryana.

Chautala also criticised the BJP government for failing to protect women, saying crime against women had increased during its rule. He stressed that the people of Haryana and INLD were not weak and would fight for their rights.
