An intramural chess (men and women) competition was organised by the Physical Education Department of the Indira Gandhi National College on Saturday. College Principal Kushal Pal said the chess competition was a good test of the wisdom and mental ability of the players. Head of Physical Education Department Kuldeep Singh said a total of 21 players participated in this competition.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
