Former ISRO Chairman and eminent scientist Dr S Somanath visited KU Dharohar Haryana Museum during his visit of Kurukshetra University on Tuesday and said that the museum has refreshed his memories of his village and childhood.

Dr Somanath said that the civilisation and culture of every state have a special identity and KU Dharohar Haryana Museum is doing the great work of connecting the youth with its ancient Haryanvi culture and folk tradition.

Kurukshetra University's contribution in preserving the folk tradition and culture of Haryana is commendable, he said.

Dean of Sciences, Prof Sanjeev Arora, Director of Public Relations Department Prof Maha Singh Poonia, Deputy Director Dr Jimmy Sharma and Dharohar museum's curator Dr Kuldeep Arya were present on this occasion.
