During the Winter Session of the Legislative Assembly, CM Manohar Lal Khattar had presented drafts of three songs. After extensive discussion, it was agreed to form a committee to select the song. Formed under MLA Laxman Singh Yadav, the committee finalised the song after five meetings. It also made extensive amendments in this song by Dr Balkrishna Sharma, a resident of Panipat.

Laxman Singh Yadav said they tried to examine the subject matter of the song in the context of Haryana’s glorious history, cultural heritage, geographical structure and journey of the state. The committee took care of the fact that the song was comfortable for the singers of the Haryanvi dialect.
