Ram Bhakt Gopal, who had brandished a gun and opened fire at Jamia Millia University last year, was arrested on Monday by Gurugram police for allegedly delivering a hate speech at Pataudi mahapanchayat recently.

  • Ever since his speech went viral on social media, several complaints were filed against him, demanding his arrest.

The accused allegedly made communal remarks which went viral online. According to the complaint filed by Dinesh, a resident of Jamalpur village, Gopal had made communal remarks which could flare up tension between two communities. He alleged that the video of his speech went viral, which made things more volatile.

An FIR has been registered against Gopal at Pataudi police station.
