The Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU-Chaduni) has condemned the controversial statement by BJP Rajya Sabha MP Ram Chander Jangra, who made adverse remarks against farmers in Rohtak district on Friday. The BKU has demanded that the MP issue an apology to the farmers for his remarks.

BKU (Chaduni) district president Rakesh Arya called the remarks “an insult to the farming community” and said they undermined the dignity of farmers, particularly women. He clarified that neither he nor his organisation had ever engaged in any illegal fundraising activities. Arya accused the BJP of using divisive politics to suppress dissent and shift focus from its anti-farmer policies.

The BKU leader also issued a warning to the BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP, demanding a public apology to the farmers. He threatened to launch state-wide protests if he failed to tender an apology.
