In light of these charges, the Deputy Commissioner has ordered an inquiry, appointing the SDM of Bahadurgarh as the regular inquiry officer. As per the order, the suspended Sarpanch is barred from participating in any proceedings of the gram panchayat,” said the district spokesperson.

He maintained that moreover, any movable or immovable property of the panchayat at present under the control of the suspended Sarpanch must be handed over immediately to the Panch having support of a majority of the PRI representatives, as per the provisions laid out in the Haryana Panchayati Raj Act, 1994.
