The Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) will hold a big rally on December 7 in Julana of Jind district, to celebrate its foundation day. This time, the rally will feature a double decker stage and large cutouts of senior leaders. The JJP leaders say several top national leaders will attend, and some former members who left the party may rejoin. The rally will be held on 32 acres of land near the Julana bypass. The party has taken the land from farmers on a seasonal contract, and the farmers will be able to sow their crops after the event.

Party leader Digvijay Chautala said Ajay Singh Chautala and Dushyant Chautala formed the JJP on December 9, 2018, after a rally in Pandu Pindara, Jind. The upcoming Julana rally will mark the party’s eighth foundation day.

He said the rally would have a double-decker stage for the first time. The main stage will be 60 by 40 ft, with another stage of 16 by 40 ft built above it. There will be separate stages for artists and media also. Large cutouts of Bhagat Singh, Sir Chhotu Ram, BR Ambedkar, Jyotiba Phule, as well as Chaudhary Devi Lal and Om Prakash Chautala, will be displayed.

Speaking to The Tribune, Digvijay said the party failed to properly communicate its achievements during its 4.5 years in the government, which hurt it in the 2024 state elections.

He accused the BJP of promoting Hindu-Muslim politics in the state, saying some Baba’s are spreading such ideas under the BJP influence. He further said Haryana needed a special intensive revision (SIR) because many “outsiders” worked in the state and allegedly voted for the BJP. He claimed that if the SIR was conducted, the identity of these people would become clear, which is why the BJP was avoiding it.
