Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya recently met para-cricketer Amir Hussain Lone at Raj Bhawan. Governor Dattatreya honoured Amir by presenting him with an idol of Lord Krishna and a shawl. He also said Amir’s life was an inspiration to everyone. Despite difficulties, Amir did not lose courage and fulfilled his dream. “I am happy that Sachin Tendulkar and other cricketers have praised Amir,” he added.

Hussain shared with the Governor that he had faced many challenges to accomplish his goals. He recounted that during a childhood accident, he lost both his hands to a saw machine. He said he had always dreamt of becoming a cricketer. After the accident, he momentarily felt that he would not be able to fulfil his dream. However, he did not lose courage and faced all the challenges that came his way to become a successful para cricketer. He is now the captain of the Jammu and Kashmir para-cricket team.
