Jobs sold under Cong rule: Khattar

An atmosphere of fear, corruption and discrimination prevailed in the state when Bhupinder Singh Hooda was the Chief Minister, former Haryana Chief Minister and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar stated here today.

He alleged that jobs ranging from peons to HCS officers were sold under Congress rule, adding that rates of all posts were fixed and Rs 2 lakh to Rs 1 crore were charged for each job through agents and middlemen.

He remarked that a BBC - Badli (transfer), Bharti (recruitment) and Change of Land Use (CLU) regime was prevalent under the Congress rule in Haryana.

The Union Minister cautioned the people to beware of the "Hooda gang" which he said had created hindrances in the recruitment process during the BJP's tenure in the state.

"Nonetheless, as per official data, nearly 82,000 government jobs were given during the two successive tenures of the Hooda government. The BJP regime has provided around 1.46 jobs on the basis of merit and with transparency in our two terms. 25,000 more jobs are in the pipeline," Khattar asserted while addressing a Prabuddh Samaj Sammelan at Rohtak on Monday.

"Whenever some person approached the government functionaries, they applied 'tilak' only after seeing his forehead," Khattar maintained, indicating that the people were accorded treatment on the basis of their castes.

‘My brother’s wife paid for transfer’

Khattar revealed that during Congress rule, his younger brother’s wife, who was serving in the Health Department, approached him for her transfer. “I requested some of my acquaintances in the then Congress government, but to no avail. Eventually, my brother’s wife told me that she had got herself transferred after paying a certain amount of money to someone,” said the Union Minister.
