The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught Julana Municipal Committee (MC) chairman, a BJP leader, Sanjay Jangra, red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 2.27 lakh. The ACB team arrested him along with his receptionist today.

According to ACB officials, a contractor Manoj from Bhiwani had lodged a complaint stating that the chairman was demanding a bribe at the rate of 2.5 per cent commission for clearing the payment of pond renovation work. In exchange for passing the total bill, he demanded a bribe of Rs 2.27 lakh. On the complaint, the ACB laid a trap and nabbed the chairperson when he accepted the bribe from the complainant.
