The initiative aims at making it easier for citizens to share their feedback on police services, behaviour of personnel and the effectiveness of grievance redressal.
The campaign was officially launched on Thursday by Superintendent of Police (SP) Upasana from the Siwan police station, marking the beginning of a district-wide rollout. Speaking on the occasion, SP Upasana said the initiative was an important step towards smart policing, designed to strengthen trust and cooperation between the police and the public.
“This is a significant and commendable move towards smarter policing. It will not only help improve the quality of police services but also build stronger trust and participation between citizens and the police force. The goal is to create a more responsible and transparent policing environment where every citizen’s voice is heard and taken seriously,” said SP Upasana.
Under the new system, the QR codes have been displayed at all police stations. Citizens can simply scan the code using their mobile phones to access an online feedback form. The form allows users to provide input on service quality, staff behaviour, issue resolution and station cleanliness.
“The feedback form is available in both Hindi and English, ensuring accessibility for all citizens. After selecting their preferred language, the users can fill in details such as their name, mobile number, date of complaint, type of complaint, and name of the officer concerned,” said the SP.
The form also includes several interactive options such as “Yes” or “No” responses for key areas — including staff availability, helpfulness of staff, issue resolved, and station cleanliness. The citizens can also add comments about their experience or observations in a text box before submitting the form.
Once submitted, the feedback will be monitored directly by senior police officials, ensuring that all responses are reviewed and necessary actions are taken where required. This system is expected to enhance two-way communication between the police and the community while promoting a culture of openness and accountability.
SP Upasana said the initiative reflected the commitment of the Kaithal police to continually improve its public service standards. “The QR Code feedback system ensures that every citizen can freely and conveniently share their views. Constructive feedback will guide us in improving our services and addressing public concerns more effectively,” she said.
