The civil suit was filed by Karnal resident Randeep, who apprehended that farmer leaders may obstruct traffic on the NH-44, state highways and railway tracks, and disrupt the functioning in government offices.

The court restricted farmer leaders, including Gurnam Singh Charuni, Ajay Rana, Rattan Singh Mann, Kehar Singh Arya, Gurmukh Singh and Rampal Chahal, from blocking the National Highway-44 or any other road.

Besides, it restrained the leaders from resorting to violence during the protest.
