Karnal records 54 mm rainfall in 24 hours, highest in Haryana

The spell brought relief from the recent humid conditions.
The showers began late evening and continued throughout the night. Residents woke up to drizzling and cloudy skies, which helped cool down the atmosphere.
As per the data, the state has recorded a fall of 0.8°C in the average minimum temperature. However, it is near to normal for this time of year. The lowest minimum temperature was recorded at 21.5°C in Hisar.
Other parts of Haryana also received rainfall, but the figures remained far below than Karnal.
The data further said that Ambala has recorded 6.6 mm of rainfall, Hisar recorded 46.2 mm, Narnaul 9.5 mm, Rohtak 49.8 mm, Gurugram 12.5 mm and Kaithal 46 mm.
The IMD has forecast more light to moderate rainfall across Haryana in the coming days, with the possibility of heavy showers at isolated places.
