Preparations are going on in full swing at the Karnal grain market to host ‘Lakhpati Didi Mahasammelan’ to be organised on March 6. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar will be the chief guest at the function, while the BJP state president Nayab Singh Saini will be the guest of honour there. The Prime Minister’s live address will be broadcast from West Bengal.

Gharaunda MLA Harvinder Kalyan, Deputy Commissioner Anish Yadav, Superintendent of Police Shashank Kumar Sawan, along with BJP state general secretary Archana Gupta, BJP district president Yogendra Rana, ADC Akhil Pilani, SDM Anubhav Mehta, and other officials inspected the venue and reviewed the arrangements.

DC Yadav directed the officials from different departments to ensure arrangements such as setting up of Internet connections for live broadcasting of the PM’s speech, arranging adequate chairs for women attending the programme, setting up a media gallery, and providing water and sanitation facilities. He mentioned that before the PM’s speech, the CM would address the women.

Kalyan said the PM would convey a message to women across the country during this programme. “The BJP is taking steps to empower women. ‘Lakhpati Didi’ is one of the programmes. The Union Government led by Prime minister Modi and the state government led by Chief Minister are taking steps for the holistic development of women,” said Kalyan.

Archana Gupta appealed to the women to attend the programme in large numbers in their respective areas.
