The Karnataka-Goa team lifted the CISCE Under-14 National Cricket Tournament-2025 trophy after defeating North India in a high-voltage final hosted by Adarsh Public School, Karnal. The contest showcased energy, grit and competitive spirit, but disciplined bowling and determined batting helped Karnataka-Goa secure a convincing victory and the championship crown.

In the third-place playoff, UAE Overseas edged past North West to secure a top-three finish. The tournament also celebrated individual brilliance. Tanish of North West emerged as the best player of the tournament, scoring 175 runs, taking six wickets and effecting four fielding dismissals. He was also adjudged best batsman.

Shashank Sharma of North India, with eight wickets at an economy rate of 5.90, earned the best bowler award, while Jinay of UAE Overseas was named best wicketkeeper for eight dismissals, including four stumpings. Naksh of Karnataka-Goa starred in the final with 37 runs off 37 balls and two wickets in four overs, bagging the man of the match title.

The closing ceremony was graced by chief guest Dr Gurbachan Singh, former chairman of the Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board and Union Agriculture Commissioner, who presented the trophy to the winners. He applauded the young cricketers for their dedication and sportsmanship, encouraging them to pursue the game with the same passion and discipline.

Adarsh Public School Director Mansimar Singh and Joint Director Anna extended heartfelt thanks to all contributors, lauding the players for their teamwork and spirit and wishing them bright futures in cricket.

Earlier, after intense league matches featuring 12 teams, including Kerala, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the top four — North India, Karnataka-Goa, North West and UAE Overseas — advanced to the semifinals. The knockout rounds were packed with energy, highlighting brilliant batting, bowling and fielding displays, before Karnataka-Goa ultimately triumphed in the final.
