Khattar, a two-time MLA and current MP from Karnal, highlighted his connection with the people and assured accelerated development if BJP’s MLA is re-elected.

He criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Ghogripur village, calling selfie-taking “inappropriate”. Khattar also commented on Congress MP Kumari Selja’s campaign absence, saying it’s an internal dispute.

Regarding Anil Vij’s claim to the Chief Minister’s post, Khattar said all 90 candidates should stake their claim.

Khattar clarified that Karnal’s connection to Ladwa won’t change and criticised Congress leaders Shamsher Singh Gogi and Neeraj Sharma for prioritising personal interests.

BJP’s Haryana campaign will continue with rallies by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, JP Nadda, Amit Shah, and other senior leaders.

Regarding former councillors joining the Congress, Khattar said, “We don’t pressure anyone. If someone finds our work unsatisfactory and prefers the Congress, they’re free to make their choice. Nevertheless, we’ll make an effort to engage with them in dialogue.”

Later, Khattar met with former councillors, urging them to ensure the victory of Jagmohan Anand, the party’s candidate in Karnal. Subsequently, Sonu, brother of former councillor Ram Chander Kala, joined BJP in Khattar’s presence at the party’s Karna Kamal office.
