Resident doctors and members of ‘Rotary Club of Rohtak Harmony’ today organised a protest demonstration near Mansarovar Park against the rape and murder of a junior doctor in Kolkata. The protesters demanded strict action against those who were guilty of the henious act.

Hemant Bakhshi, president of the Rotary Club of Rohtak Harmony, said the incident had shaken the country. The culprits should not be spared and a special fast-track court should be set up to hear the case on a daily basis to ensure justice to the victim’s family.

Dr Prajwal, president, Resident Doctors Association (RDA), PGIMS, said they had persistently been taking out protest marches. The government should ensure safety not only of the doctors but also other citizens by adopting all security measures.
