'Hariyali Teej Utsav’ was organised on Sunday with great enthusiasm and fervour at the Haryana Dharohar Museum of Kurukshetra University (KU), celebrating Haryana’s vibrant cultural traditions and festive spirit.

KU Vice-Chancellor Som Nath Sachdeva, as the chief guest at the event, said Teej was a symbol of Haryana’s rich cultural heritage and reflected the deep-rooted traditions, spirituality, and values associated with Indian festivals. Celebrated on the third day (Tritiya) of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Shravan as per the Hindu calendar, the festival hold significance in regards to environmental awareness and women empowerment.

Sachdeva extended warm wishes to the university community, saying the arrival of the monsoon put a ‘green veil’ over the earth, inspiring people to celebrate by singing folk songs and enjoying swings.

Sachdeva, KU Registrar Virender Pal, and others participated in the celebration by sharing sweets with attendees on the museum lawns. Several KU staff members were present at the event.
