Kurukshetra University Vice-Chancellor Som Nath Sachdeva today felicitated the students of University Senior Secondary Model School who won medals in various national and state level competitions held at Delhi, Panchkula and Kurukshetra recently.

Deputy director, Public Relations of KU, Dr Jimmy Sharma, said Anushka Sharma, a student of Class XI won the bronze medal in the national competition in boxing in Delhi. In the state-level competition held in Panchkula, Hardik, a student of Class V, won the gold medal in martial arts in the 27kg weight category and Madhav of Class IV won the gold medal in the 24kg weight category in the same competition.

In the state-level Regalia 2025 quiz organised at TERii, Kurukshetra, yesterday, Class XII student Lakshit Saini and Bhumika stood first.

The VC congratulated the winners, the principal and the mentors of the school. He said it was a matter of pride that besides performing well in sports, the university is also achieving positions in elementary and secondary education levels too.

Registrar Dr Virender Pal said that if the students are given the right direction from childhood, they definitely bring glory to their parents, teachers and school.
