Kurukshetra University (KU) has signed an MoU with Code Quotient Pvt Ltd, Mohali, to start an industry-linked collaborative one-year intense software development programme.

KU Vice Chancellor Kailash Chandra Sharma said the collaboration aims at providing better opportunities to the university students and faculty to work more closely with industry partners. The focus is to carry out research and development of emerging technologies like data science, full stack web development, mobile development and user experience design.

IT Cell director Prof Pardeep Kumar said the one-year programme would cover four-month classroom training as well as an industrial internship of eight months. There will be no upfront fee for this programme. Students have to pay the fee only after getting placed. The collaboration will also facilitate brainstorming sessions between academia and industry to create deep-tech and disruptive research ideas and help start-ups gain industry access for pilot demonstrations of their clean technology ideas.
