Kurukshetra administration reviews preparations for Gita Mahotsav -25

The DC said nodal officers had been directed to complete their respective tasks within the stipulated timeframe to ensure a smooth event.
This year, a 21-day IGM-25 will be celebrated from November 15 to December 5, on the banks of Brahma Sarovar in Kurukshetra. The Saras and Crafts Fairs will be organised for 21 days, while the main events will be organised for eight days.
Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena said on the initiative of the Ministry of External Affairs, 25 scholars from more than 15 countries would participate in the International Gita Mahotsav. The folk cultural arts of various countries will enhance the atmosphere of the festival. Several programmes will begin before the festival, including an online Gita quiz from November 4 to 14. A Gita Run will be organised on November 16. Apart from this, the Crafts and Saras Mela will be held from November 15 to December 5, and Bhajan Sandhya and Maha Aarti will be organised every evening at Purushottampura Bagh.
He said the main events of this festival would be held from November 24 to December 1. On November 25, Kurukshetra University will host an International Gita Seminar. Besides these, various cultural and religious events will be held at Jyotisar Tirtha, Sannihit Sarovar and Brahma Sarovar. From November 28 to 30, the Education Department will organise competitions such as recitation of Gita verses, debates, essay writing, painting, rangoli, mehndi, and other competitions. On December 1, a Gita recitation and Yagna at Jyotisar, a global Gita recitation at the Keshav Park, and a 48-Kos pilgrimage conference at the Kurukshetra University, Deepotsav at Sannihit Sarovar and Deepdaan will be held at Brahma Sarovar.
Thanesar SDM Shashwat Sangwan, KDB CEO Pankaj Setia, Pehowa SDM Abhinav Siwach, honorary secretary of KDB Upender Singhal and officials from the various departments were present on the occasion.
