The Institute of Environmental Studies (IES), Kurukshetra University (KU), would organise a “National Conference on Environment and Sustainability (NACONES-2025)” on January 24.

Conference’s chief patron and Kurukshetra University Vice Chancellor Prof Som Nath Sachdeva said this conference aims to provide a platform for insightful discussions on sustainable environment, waste management, circular economy, climate change and natural resource management.

The conference convenor and Director, IES, and Dean, Life Science, Prof Jitender Sharma, said Prof Narsi Ram Bishnoi, Vice-Chancellor, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar, would be the chief guest while Prof Anubha Kaushik, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, will be the keynote speaker at the conference.

Prof Arun K Saraf, IIT, Roorkee, Prof VK Garg, Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, and P Raghavendra Rao, IAS (retd), would address participants in the conference. In all, 175 research papers would be presented in the conference.
