She appealed to youngsters to join the Army and serve the country.

The Tiranga Yatra was flagged off from the Ladwa bus stand and concluded at the Shaheed Smarak of martyr Sanjeev Kumar in Kolapur village after covering Samalkha, Bakali, Dhanora Jattan, Sultanpur, Ramsaran Majra, Babain, Khaira, and Ramnagar villages.

Saini honoured martyr Sanjeev Kumar’s father Ranjit Singh and mother Parvati Devi, and promised to construct a roof over the statue of the martyr. She said Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini himself would bear the expenses of the roof.

She also inaugurated a gymnasium at Kolapur village, and said youngsters should pay special attention to their health, because the youth played an important role in the progress of a country.

Saini said the government had been providing youngsters with jobs based on merit.

“Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has been implementing many public welfare schemes for every sector — including health, education, transport and roads. Several new developmental projects are being initiated in the Ladwa Assembly constituency, and works worth crores of rupees are in progress. The Ladwa constituency will mark its distinct identity in terms of development in the state,” she added.
